I WAS NOT SACKED BY NPP- Adomako Barfi

THE IMMEDIATE-Past National Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Adomako Barfi, has debunked reports that he was sacked from his position.

According to him, he voluntarily resigned because it restricted him from working at the party’s grassroot.

Yaw Buabeng Asamoah has been appointed as National Communications Director, but commenting on the sack rumour, Barfi said he is still a proud member of the ruling party.

“Nobody sacked me from my position as the National Communications Director of the NPP and so the public, especially members of the NPP, should ignore that wild speculation.

“Everybody knows that I am a man for the grassroot people and I realized that the national communications director position restricted me from going to the hinterlands to work for the party.

“I therefore decided to willingly step aside so that another person can take over from me as the national communications director so that I can get time to visit the hinterland and work for the NPP”.

Adomako Barfi, who was speaking on Fox FM, also stated that reports that some unseen hands in the party pressurized him to step down were also false.

According to him, was not leaving the NPP national communications director position with pain or anger in his heart, saying that he is very happy because he now has time to work for the party at the hinterlands.

Now that he is no longer the national communications director of the NPP, he stated “people will see me visiting the various rural communities, working for his beloved NPP”.
