I’ll host LGBTQ Weddings With Pride – Shegelabobor

Ghanaian international wedding MC and comedian Shegelabobor has said he is willing to host gay weddings if invited, especially in countries where such ceremonies are legally recognised.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on May 3, 2026, the Europe-based MC responded to a question during a rapid-fire session about whether he would accept an opportunity to host a same-sex wedding. His answer was clear and direct, as he expressed strong support for inclusiveness in his line of work.

“So I live in Canada, where I shuttle between America and Europe, and I believe in al inclusiveness. I’m Mr Luxurious, and I will host an LGBTQ wedding with pride in America, Canada, and Europe, without fear or favour. So hit me up, I will be there,” he said.

Shegelabobor, who is widely known for hosting high-profile weddings and events across different countries, explained that his job goes beyond performance. He said his main focus is to create memorable experiences for people, regardless of their background or identity.

He also opened up about what motivates him to continue doing what he loves. According to him, seeing joy on the faces of couples and their families during special occasions gives him a deep sense of fulfilment.

“Me seeing families and couples excited, me seeing people happy… it doesn’t just give me joy… it gives me fulfilment.

If I get the chance and fulfilment to contribute to the lives of people to make sure their big days become memorable and special, it doesn’t just give me joy, especially when they used months, weeks to plan this, and all I have to do is to make them have a good time,” he added.
