Internal Squabbles Worried NPP in 2016 Election: Majority Leader

Majority Leader and New Patriotic Party(NPP) Strong member, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has hinted that, the New Patriotic Party could have done better in the 2016 election if not for internal matters.

Speaking at the Party’s National Delegates Conference in Koforidua, the Eastern Region Capital on Saturday, the Suame legislator revealed that, conflicts between members of the party in various constitutuencies affected the number of votes won.

“There are constituencies here in the Eastern Region which we won but we could have yet improved our figures. There were petty squabbles and quarrels that ensured from the conduct of our parliamentary and presidential primaries which did tend to distract the party. Without internal conflicts we could have done better than we did “-he added.

He therefore urge all party members to unite after the conference and ensure that a massive victory is delivered to the party in 2020 elections.
