Joe Ghartey files nomination forms …certain of winning 2024 elections for NPP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag-bearer aspirant, Hon. Joe Ghartey successfully filed his nomination forms at the party’s headquarters located at Asylum Down in the Greater Accra Region last Saturday, 24th June, 2023.

The Former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, was the last to submit his presidential forms as he was accompanied by a large group of exuberant advocators.

The cheerful supporters gave the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Essikado-Ketan constituency, Joe Ghartey together with his wife Mrs. Efua Ghartey a warm heartfelt welcome as they arrived at the venue.

Mr. Ghartey is certain that it is the will of God to lead Ghanaians. According to him, his experiences during his tenure in various office duties till date has convinced him beyond reasonable doubt that he is meant to be President of the Republic of Ghana.

“I want to be President to be a blessing to the people of Ghana, I pray that God will bless me so I can bless them. It is not about what you can get but rather it is about what you can do for people and God will bless you. The bible says that where a great leader rules the people are blessed. If it is God’s will, I will be President of Ghana but if it is not His will, I will not be. So far nothing has brought me to the conclusion that God don’t want me to become President of Ghana.

“My experiences since 1992 till date has convinced me beyond reasonable doubt that I have been paired for this time, a time such as this where a man such as me will rule the country and bring blessing to Ghana” he said.

He also heighted the importance of unity, hard work and equity in his campaign. He pledged to transform the party and nation as a whole as he will be focusing on fostering economic growth, eradicating corruption, and improving the living standards of all Ghanaians.

The “Walking-Talking Campaign” according to Mr. Ghartey is his campaign message where he will move from house to house to address the 900 delegates who will be voting without making too much noise.

The renowned politician, also highlighted his achievements in introducing not just the ‘Justice for All’ program during former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s reign, but also an NPP activist that promotes equal opportunities for all people.

As a former Minister of Railways Development and Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Ghartey aims to revitalize the NPP and provide young people and party executives with opportunities to serve Ghana, should he win the primaries and subsequently be elected President in 2024.

The NPP officially closed nomination for its presidential primaries, 10 out of 11 presidential candidates who picked their forms filed awaiting vetting, among other processes heading to the Special Delegates Congress set to happen in August.
