Joe Mettle Is Sunny Gold Brand Ambassador

Ghanaian food manufacturer Oxy Industries Limited, producers of Sunny Gold products, has officially signed award-winning gospel musician Joe Mettle as its brand ambassador.

The unveiling ceremony took place at the company’s premises on Friday, April 10, marking a significant step in the brand’s efforts to strengthen its visibility and connect more deeply with consumers.

Speaking to the media, Head of Sales and Marketing, Ekow Daniel, explained that the partnership reflects the company’s long-standing values of consistency, quality, and authenticity.

“We have always been silent because we didn’t think it was about making noise,” he said. “But for the first time, we want to appreciate the loyalty people have shown us by bringing on an ambassador who represents consistency.”

He added that the decision to choose Joe Mettle was intentional and rooted in the musician’s proven track record.

“It was very decisive for us to choose somebody like Joe Mettle mainly because of the consistency that we have experienced with him throughout the years in this country,” he noted. “We couldn’t have partnered with anyone better.”

Providing further insight into the company’s operations, Ekow Daniel stressed that Oxy Industries was founded with a clear purpose.

“Oxy Industries started many years ago with the purpose of trying to package foodstuffs in a way that helps Ghanaians do away with waste,” he explained.

He further highlighted the uniqueness of their packaging approach.

“You will notice that for all our products — the sugar, the honey, the dairy mix — they have all been packaged for portion use,” he said. “This means it is very important that people reduce waste and also ensure there is no mess.”

He emphasised the company’s commitment to quality and authenticity.

“Beyond all of that, the product must be of high quality and must be organic, as authentic as possible,” he added.

For his part, Joe Mettle expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, revealing that his decision to join the brand was both thoughtful and personal.

“I was approached, I thought to myself, I prayed about it, and I figured, why not?” he said. “This is food, this is from Ghana, and it’s going to the world and doing a lot of service.”

He noted that the opportunity aligns with his desire to support impactful Ghanaian brands.

“I said, why not be part of this journey and also help add my little contribution to make sure more people get to hear about it and enjoy it,” he stated.

The gospel musician also spoke about his personal experience with the products, which influenced his decision.l and also underscored the importance of brand alignment in his choices.

“When I got connected to the products, I liked them. Personally, I thought, why not? It’s easy to talk about something that you enjoy. I’m always careful about the brands I associate with, and I believe this is a good brand to be associated with. That is why I accepted it”.

Oxy Industries Limited has been in existence for several years, steadily building a reputation for producing locally manufactured food products tailored to the needs of Ghanaian households.
