She commended President Akufo-Addo for fulfilling his promise to the head potters.

“When I heard the Finance Minister was about to read the budget, I was very worried because all I wanted to hear was that our head potters were going to get a place to sleep so I was very happy when I heard about the 600-bed for them,” she said.

According to her, President Akufo-Addo’s commitment to ending the plight of Kayayei in the coming year is on course.

Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, told on Wednesday, that the construction of the 600-bed hostel will begin in December 2019 at Agbogbloshie, a suburb of Accra.
