Kenichi Explains Why He Left Inter Allies

Aduana Stars coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has revealed the reason for parting ways with Inter Allies after only six months in charge.

According to the Japanese coach, the Eleven Is to One were reluctant to pay his salaries due to the indefinite suspension imposed on the Ghana Premier League by the government.

“I’ve never explained why I left Inter Allies but let me reiterate that it was a mutual agreement between me and the club. They couldn’t pay my salary anymore because there was no domestic football activity,” Kenichi told Oyerepa FM.

“That’s the reason why I left Inter Allies for Aduana because I also have a family to fend for so I had to do something to earn a living in order to be able to cater for them,” he added.

Kenichi also advised the Ghanaian authorities to capitalise on the investigation by undercover journalists Anas Aremeyaw Anas to cleanse the system.

“I think it is a golden opportunity for football in Ghana to be cleansed of the rot,” he said.

“I’m just hoping that the mess we had will be cleaned up completely. However, in my opinion, it is more important to take our time and do the right things than rushing to restart football,” he added.

Kenichi scored full marks on his debut with Aduana who defeated AS Vita Club 2-1 in the Caf Confederation Cup on Wednesday.
