KiDi: Too Many Exes Is a Red Flag

Popular Afrobeats sensation Dennis Nana Dwamena, known by his stage name KiDi has boldly stated that a woman’s body count only matters to him if she is his woman.

Speaking on the latest episode of Rants, Bants and Confessions podcast, released on April 23,2025, the award-winning “Lomo Lomo” hitmaker said he wouldn’t care about a woman’s body count if the relationship was casual and just for fun.

“If we were just having a good time, I don’t care. But if you are somebody that I am going to be calling mine, it matters,” KiDi said.

He explained that body count becomes important to him only when the relationship is serious and leading to marriage. According to KiDi, a high number of past partners can affect how much of a person is left for their future partner emotionally.

“I don’t want to walk into a room and all the guys in there are eyeing each other. I do not want a woman who has given out her body and soul to too many people, because then when I meet you, I am meeting a very degraded version of yourself,” he stated.

The singer shared that when someone has been with many people, they often give parts of themselves, physically and emotionally, each time.

“You learn something from there, so you’ve shared 50 bits of you. What is left for me?” he asked.

KiDi’s comments have sparked mixed reactions online. While some support his view, others believe it places too much value on a person’s past rather than who they are now.
