KiDi set to release ‘Golden Boy’ Album

Lynx Entertainment signee, KiDi is set to release his second major album titled Golden Boy Album coming June.

Denis Nana Dwamena as known in real life made the announcement on his official social media handles.

“THE GOLDEN BOY ALBUM, COMING THIS JUNE” he wrote.

The Multiple award winning artiste since signing up to Lynx Entertainment has released one Album and an EP and singles.

The announcement however comes few days after he emerged as the artiste of the year at the 4th edition of 3 music awards.

He beat the likes of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Diana Hamilton, Adina, Kuami Eugene, Fameye and Medikal to win the coveted award, also won Song of the Year (Enjoyment), Afrobeats/Afropop Song of the Year (Enjoyment) and EP of the Year with Blue at the show which which came off at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

In spite of the coronavirus pandemic, 2020 was a great year for KiDi whose Blue EP, released in the lockdown was a huge hit. The EP had the chart topping Say Cheese.

Other winners on the night were Gospel musician Diana Hamilton who picked three awards; Gospel Song of the Year with Adom, Gospel Act of the Year and the Best female Vocalist of the Year; Yaw Tog who won Hip Hop Song of the Year; Dead Peepol which won Group of the Year; Mr Drew who picked up Breakthrough Act of the Year; Adina won Reggae/ Dancehall Song of the Year; Kuami Eugene won Highlife Act of the Year while Stonebwoy who the Album of the Year with Anloga Junction, Viral Song of the Year (Putuu) and Highlife Song of the Year with Sobolo.

The event, which was virtual but had a small audience inside the Grand Arena, started around 9 p.m. with comedians OB Amponsah, Lekzy Decomic and Akrobeto as the red carpet hosts. They made the event interesting with their funny and witty words and exceptional interviews with the artistes.

KiDi is an old student of Accra Academy and completed the University of Ghana. He looks up to people like Justin Timberlake, Kojo Antwi, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars and Usher.
