KK Fosu, Bless and Actor Lil Win accident raises serious road concerns

The unfortunate road accidents that happened over the weekend concerning Kwadwo Nkansah known popularly as Lilwin in Kumasi and Ghanaian highlife musicians KK Fosu and Bless on the Accra-Apam Highway near Eat and Ride junction have left many concerned Ghanaians worried over the indiscipline that happened on our roads each day.

On Saturday evening Entertainment Discussion Show on United Television, Journalist and Radio Host, Halifax Ansah-Addo and Media Personality, George Quaye both expressed worry over what they describe as the carelessly of drivers on the Ghanaian roads.

The two agreed that, the situation if not attended to would create issues that can never be solved in future time and likelihood of it causing more accidents on our roads would increase to the highest level.

Halifax Ansah-Addo indicated, “Road accidents on our roads are normal occurrences, go through the internet, it happens each time. There is something happening on our roads, am sure KK Fosu and Bless accidents are not the only accidents that have happened on our roads today, there have been several ones. We have to check about how we disobey traffic regulations in this country and we break those rules with a lot of boldness”

On the part of George Quaye, he added, “There is a perception that seeks to create the idea that driving on top speed only causes accident – that’s not true. The real truth that causes accidents are inattentiveness, inexperience, irresponsibility and restlessness – these are the things that causes accidents on our roads in addition to the speed. A lot of drivers also don’t know simple road signs. You can wait ahead of a zebra crossing and someone will be blowing horn at your back. The indiscipline on our roads is getting too much. One other thing that strikes me is animals taking over our roads, you’ll see cows, goats, dogs all over our highways and it getting serious as the day goes by.”
