KMA Unveils Projects

THE KUMASI Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has unveiled a number of projects it has carried out in Kumasi to improve the state of infrastructure in the city.

Osei Assibey Antwi, the Chief Executive of the KMA, insists the assembly had done a yeoman’s job in the area of infrastructure within the last three and half years.

Outlining some of the projects, he disclosed that the Assembly had successfully constructed an ultra-modern office for the Nhyiaeso Sub-Metro in Kumasi, recently.

“The Nhyiaeso sub-metro office complex is a state-of-the-art and it was built with the idea that it can be used as an assembly office if Nhyiaso attain municipal status later”.

According to him, the KMA has also dug over 20 mechanised boreholes at various communities in Kumasi to improve access to potable drinking water for the people.

“Communities such as Bantama, Buokrom and Kokoso Asubonteng, just to mention a few, have all benefitted from the mechanised borehole project by the assembly”, he said.

Osei Assibey Antwi also announced that the famous KMA Court building, which was in deplorable state before he came to office, has been rehabilitated to give it a facelift.

According to the KMA boss, who was speaking on Wontumi TV, the KMA Fire Service Station, which was looking very old, has been rehabilitated to look new.
