Kojo Bonsu presidential ambition scares NPP

THE RULING New Patriotic Party’s (NPPs) firm grips of the Ashanti Region in terms of the acquisition of more votes during elections seems to be coming to an end.

A native of Ashanti Region and a ‘pillar’ in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kojo Bonsu, has vowed to end the NPPs dominance in the Ashanti Region.

According to Kojo Bonsu, who is an ex-Kumasi Mayor, he has what it takes to ensure that the NDC and NPP shared votes in the Ashanti Region equally (50/50) during the 2024 polls.

Speaking in an interview with The New Publisher, he said he is the only person in the NDC, who can break the NPPs bragging that Ashanti Region is their World Bank for votes.

“A lot of people still hold the view that Ashanti Region is only for the NPP party but I say it is false. NDC can break that record and I, Kojo Bonsu can execute that agenda.

“I am the only person who can divide the votes in the Ashanti Region for the NDC to get the maximum needed votes to win the 2024 elections”, Kojo Bonsu stated.

He said “That is why I am working on what I call the agenda 50/50, “Ky3 Mu p3” where we the NDC take 50% of the votes in Ashanti Region and the other 50% for the NPP”.

Significantly, Kojo Bonsu has hit the road running as he is campaigning vigorously to be elected as the next Presidential Candidate for the NDC for election 2024.

A native of a historic town of Offinso, Kojo Bonsu already has strong backing from the Ashanti Region, from both the NPP and NDC.

He said even though he is confident of winning the NDC flagbearer race, in the unlikely event of him losing the race, he would still help the NDC to win more votes in Ashanti Region.

“I am very convinced the NDC will choose me as the next presidential candidate because the reality of the need for change is a fact known and accepted by Ghanaians today.

“Even in the unlikely event that it goes to another aspirant, I will support that party member and make sure that we divide the Ashanti region votes by half to win the 2024 polls”.

Kojo Bonsu said he loves the NDC so he would play any role or hold any position that would help the NDC to save the country from the non-performing NPP administration in 2024.
