Kotoko Coach Pockets $5,000 For Winning FA Cup
HEAD TRAINER of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Steve Polack, must be a happy man as he has received a staggering US$5,000 from his employers.
The huge cash is the coach’s handsome reward for guiding the Porcupine Warriors to clinch the FA Cup trophy this season.
Kotoko, it would be recalled, whacked arch-rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak 3-1, to win the FA Cup few weeks ago.
The victory, aside giving Kotoko the bragging rights over their perennial rivals, also qualifies the team for Africa next season.
The Kotoko management, headed by Dr. Kwame Kyei, reportedly promised Polack US$5,000 should Kotoko win the FA Cup, and made good its promise by presenting the cash to the expatriate trainer after the team won the cup.
Management had also presented a staggering GH¢100,000 to each of the players for winning the tournament.
The two times Africa champions would be participating in the Africa Confederation Cup Tournament next year.
