Kotoko Eyes Dr Kwame Baah-Nuakoh As CEO

Asante Kotoko are close to appointing a new Chief Executive Officer as they prepare for the upcoming season.

According to GhanaWeb, the club is reportedly set to name Dr Kwame Baah-Nuakoh as CEO ahead of the 2026/27 football season. This move comes after the departure of Nana Yaw Amponsah, leaving the position vacant for some time.

For now, Kotoko’s affairs are being handled by an Interim Management Committee led by Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah, with support from Kwesi Appiah and Malik Jabir.

Sources say the club’s new Board of Directors is finalising plans to confirm Dr Baah-Nuakoh as the substantive CEO. The board will be chaired by James Osei Brown, with Kwasi Osei Ofori as vice-chairman. Businessman Kofi Amoa-Abban is also expected to be part of the board.

Dr Baah-Nuakoh is no stranger to the club. He previously worked as Kotoko’s International Relations Manager and currently serves as Chairman of the Club Licensing Committee, a role he has held since 2019. He has also worked with the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation as a General Manager in sustainability.

Meanwhile, Kotoko are also expected to appoint a new head coach before the start of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season, as they look to rebuild and compete strongly.
