Kotoko Midfielder Confident of CAF Confederations Cup Success

Asante Kotoko midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei is confident the club can can go far in their CAF Confederation Cup adventure.

The experienced midfielder, who won the competition with Congolese side TP Mezembe believes the record Ghanaian champions can win the competition.

“I’m optimistic we will get closer to the (CAF Confederations Cup) trophy, we are in good shape and we have the confidence to play. I won two CAF Confederations Cup trophies and a Champions league trophy at TP Mezembe and I want to do same now at Kotoko,” he told Fox FM in Kumasi.

The Porcupine Warriors will leave Ghana for Kenya on Tuesday for the first leg of the round of 1/16th stage clash with Kariobangyi Sharks.

The Porcupine Warriors play the Kenyan outfit in the first leg of the second preliminary round at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya.

With the traveling party confirmed, management has revealed the traveling route indicating a transit in Ethiopia.

The Porcupines Warriors will arrive in Kenya on Wednesday afternoon hoping to garner a favourable result in the first leg to take into the second fixture slated for the Baba Yara Stadium on December 22, 2018.
