Kotoko Ready for CAF Confederation Cup Match in Accra

Asante Kotoko has confirmed that they will host the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round match in Accra.

The game is scheduled for Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Kotoko booked their place in the continental competition after winning the MTN FA Cup in July. They defeated Division One League side Golden Kick F.C. 2-1 in the final at the University of Ghana Stadium.

The victory handed them their ticket to Africa’s second-tier club competition and sparked wild celebrations among players and supporters.

This announcement means the Accra Sports Stadium will stage two major CAF matches in September.

The first will be Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mali on Monday, September 8, followed by Kotoko’s Confederation Cup clash.

The upcoming game will also mark Kotoko’s return to the Confederation Cup for the first time since 2022, and fans are eager to see the Porcupine Warriors shine on the continental stage again.
