Kudus Returns to Nima School with Donations and Inspiration

Black Stars midfielder and West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus is set to visit his former school, the Nima Cluster of Schools (Nima Basic 1), on Monday, June 30, 2025.

The visit is part of a two-day community engagement in his hometown, organized by the KudusDream Foundation in partnership with footwear brand Skechers.

Kudus, who began his education at the Nima school before rising to international football fame, will donate football kits, books, and learning materials to support the pupils. Skechers will also provide quality footwear for students as part of the initiative.

The homecoming event, scheduled for 1:00 PM, will include a special session called “Moment with the Starboy,” during which Kudus will share his personal journey, from the classrooms of Nima to the global football stage.

He will speak to students about the value of discipline, determination, and education, aiming to inspire the next generation.

This initiative continues Kudus’ dedication to promoting education and sports development in underprivileged communities in Ghana. It also follows the successful Bazaki Football Tournament, held a day earlier, which brought together young talents from across the area.

To celebrate the visit, students and staff have prepared performances and presentations to honor their most famous alumnus. The event will climax with a special Monday Stars football match, adding an exciting end to the program.

Meanwhile, on the club football front, Kudus may be set for a major career move. Reports suggest that Saudi side Neom SC, newly promoted and backed by the NEOM megaproject, are prepared to meet West Ham’s £70 million valuation for the 24-year-old.

While Kudus has a release clause of £85 million for Premier League clubs, West Ham may accept lower offers due to the player’s desire to leave.

Kudus reportedly prioritizes Champions League football and is weighing his options. Clubs such as Chelsea, Newcastle, Arsenal, and Manchester City are monitoring the situation, with Tottenham also showing interest.

With his release clause becoming active from July 1 to 10, the coming weeks could be crucial in determining whether Kudus stays in Europe or heads to the Middle East.
