Kumasi Mayor: I Want To Impress Otumfuo

THE KUMASI Mayor, Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, affectionately called ‘Zuba’, has openly declared that his desire is work harder than ever and impress the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

“I’m a government worker and that’s a fact. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) government appointed me as Kumasi Mayor but I’m working for the Asantehene, the overlord of Asanteman.

“I always desire to work to the satisfaction of the Asantehene and Asanteman. I have promised myself not to relax until I fulfill my promise of changing the face of Kumasi to Otumfuo”, Zuba openly stated.

The Kumasi Mayor, who was being interviewed by Speaking Kojo Marfo of Fakye TV, also disclosed how his desire to make a huge mark as Kumasi Mayor was adversely affecting his sleeping patterns nowadays.

“I want to see what is going on in the city. I don’t want people to call tell me what is going on in Kumasi so I don’t sleep as I used to do before President John Dramani Mahama appointed me to this high office.

“I almost work for 24 hours daily of late. I work in the morning, afternoon, evening and even at night. I sleep less than four hours in a day because I want to live up to the high expectations. I want to develop Kumasi.

“My personal doctors have even advised that they will detain me for three days after every 2 months for thorough medical check up so I can rest properly, and I have accepted the doctor’s wise counsel”, Zuba stated.
