Kumasi Police Chase ‘Murderous’ Father …For Poisoning His Kids

A HEARTLESS man, who allegedly poisoned his two children to death at Apemso in the Oforikrom Constituency of the Ashanti Region, is on the radar of the Kumasi police.

The suspect, identified as Kofi Marfo, reportedly poisoned a soft-drink for his unsuspecting children. The children, a female aged seven, and a male, who was 3-years old, died shortly after drinking the poisoned drink.

According to reports, a resident of the town discovered the almost decomposed bodies of the two children in an abandoned building.

Alarm was instantly raised, after which the victims were identified by other residents as the children of Marfo.

When residents of Apemso tried to locate Kofi Marfo to convey the bad news to him and console him, they were dismayed to realise that he had parked most of his belongings and fled the community.

As at the time of filing this story, there were different narratives from various quarters, regarding why the father would decide to kill his children.
