The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, who made the announcement, said different contractors have been awarded contracts to complete the project.

Hon. Osei Mensah disclosed that 30 Urban Road projects would be carried out by government this year. He said while eight of them have already been awarded on contract, the remaining ones are in the procurement process.
