Victor Kpapko Addo known in showbiz as Azigiza Jnr has asked Ghanaians to forgive and help restore actress Akuapem Poloo to some level of betterment after posting a naked photo of herself and her son on social media.
According to him, the actress goofed in her actions and needs forgiveness to enable her function better as a mother going forward.
Revered Azigizaa told Halifax Ansah-Addo on Okay FM’s ‘Best Entertainment Show’ that Akuapem Poloo’s apology should be accepted by Ghanaians.
”Let’s call a spade a spade, when we were growing, there were certain things our parents did not do with us. When we were growing up, we saw how our parents treated us. I had 4 sisters, I was the only boy. My sister’s had their place and I had mine, there were separation of powers.
”Let’s come to this ladies issue, she has goofed big time, the nudity posting was not right. Have seen her apologizing. Unfortunately prior to the apology, she tried to justified her actions which was wrong so her advisers should tell her to come out with clean apology.
”Whatever she did was wrong and not an African thing. She didn’t do it well. She has apologized, let’s forgive her. This also bring us to another angle. Let’s take a look at the silky of this lady, what does she understand about parenting. There are so many dimensions to this thing, let’s just not take it as she has gone naked on social media. Let’s look at way to restore her, maybe this celebrity status has abused her brain” he said.
Akuapem Poloo posted a picture, naked in front of her son, who was in briefs, to mark his seventh birthday on Tuesday, June 30.
But the image received wide condemnation from the public with many ascribing child abuse to it.
Non-governmental organization Child Rights International, in condemning the act, reported the matter to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.
Akuapem Poloo has since rendered an apology for the act and removed the picture from her page.
