Let’s Stop Anas! – Kennedy Agyapong Cries Out

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong says undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas must be stopped before he investigates people in their bedrooms.

Mr. Agyapong who is questioning the methods used by the award-winning undercover journalist also wants him prevented from premiering his latest expose on football and politics scheduled for June 6 and 7 this year.

The ace journalist credited for several investigative master pieces is out again with another jaw-dropping documentary, this time around turning his lenses on the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

GFA Scandal

The GFA president is alleged to have been captured in a video telling investors he has the president in his pocket.

Mr. Nyantakyi allegedly asked for $5m to create access to the president and some additional money to sort out some government appointees, an allegation he has been quizzed over by the police CID.

But the outspoken NPP Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) sharing his views on the controversy opined that Anas should be stopped from going ahead with the intended premiering of the documentary.

“I totally disagree with his approach. Somebody should take him to court right now to stop him from what he is doing” he said.

He continued, “You want to premier this? We have to stop him or else, he will end up one-day recording you whilst you are asleep with your wife and premiere it in public.”

$11 million

“If he has seen the money before or worked hard for money, he would have known that no company will give him $11 million just to go and see the President and the Vice President and the minister”.

“Do you think Anas has the right to do what he is doing? Do you think so? We should be careful the way things are going. We kept quiet over the judges’ issue. Now he is at GFA. Tomorrow it could be you or me. He could be in your bedroom whilst you are asleep with your wife,” he warned.

Mr. Agyapong also described GFA President as a talkative insisting “First of all, Nyantakyi talks too much. You promise to give President [Akufo-Addo] $ 5million; $ 3 million to the Vice president, $2 million for yourself, $ 1 million for minister, all totaling $ 11 million. Let me tell you, you could tell that he has not seen money like this before at the GFA.”
