Liberty to Recruit New Players

LIBERTY PROFESSIONALS will recruit new and potent players to beef up their squad for the next football season, which starts in January, 2018.

The club wants to avert a situation where they would be faced with relegation scare during the latter stages of the coming season.

Head Coach, Michael Osei, said he was not impressed with his club’s showing and standing on the 2017 league table.

According to him, the entire Liberty Professionals fraternity sat on tenterhooks during the latter stages of the just-ended football season, and noted that the team would not want a repetition of that embarrassing experience this time around.

“Liberty Professionals struggled last season and as a result of that, we were at a point, faced with relegation scare, which was not the best. We want to avert a repetition of such scary moments again next season therefore we shall strengthen our team so we can finish at a respectable position on the table”.

Michael Osei, in his heydays, played for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, and also coached his former club before joining Liberty Professionals.
