Man, 55, Bonks Girl 15 In Tamale …Jailed For 15 Years

A Tamale high court has sentenced 55-year-old Nba Tikuli to 15 years imprisonment for defiling 15-year-old Amatu Alhassan.

Nba Tikuli on July 9, 2019 lured Amatu into his room under the pretext of buying her fish and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.

The victim  after the forced act complained of severe abdominal pain coupled with a heavy flow of blood from her vagina.

Upon interrogation, Amatu mentioned the 55-year-old man as being responsible for her defilement. Nba Tikuli, however, admitted the offence after the victim’s uncle lodged a complaint to the Savelugu police.

He was  arrested and arraigned before the Tamale high court and charged for defilement.

Nba Tikuli pleaded guilty to the charge and was convicted on his own plea and sentenced to 15-years imprisonment.

The victim is currently on admission at the savelugu municipal hospital and is responding to treatment.
