Medikal Says ‘Killa Ntua’ to DJ Azonto’s $100M Lawsuit

Ghanaian rapper Medikal has fired back at DJ Azonto’s demand for $100 million and other luxury items over a copyright dispute involving the word “Alla” in his latest single Shoulder, simply saying “Killa Ntua!” in response.

On July 9, 2025, DJ Azonto’s management released a bold statement, accusing Medikal of using the popular catchphrase without permission.

According to Sammy Anim, the Public Relations Officer of the Rolls Royce Family (DJ Azonto’s team), “Alla” is a key part of Azonto’s brand, especially the slogan Alla Woyo, which is often used in his performances and fan interactions.

The statement listed a jaw-dropping set of demands to settle the matter “peacefully.”

These included: $100 million in cash, a diplomatic passport for DJ Azonto’s mother, ten diamond chains, three Rolls-Royce cars for his daughters, 90% ownership of the ride-hailing app Shaxi, a beach house in Miami and a public apology from Medikal.

But Medikal was far from shaken. The Omo Ada hitmaker responded the next day, July 10, 2025 using the viral phrase “Killa Ntua!” meaning “I won’t pay a dime,” on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. The term, often used to dismiss over the top demands, made it clear he had no plans to pay.

Medikal’s fans have applauded his calm and humorous response. Whether DJ Azonto follows through with legal action remains to be seen, but for now, Medikal seems completely unbothered.
