Mepe Traditional Leadership Praises Tanko’s Council of State Role As ‘Outstanding’

Leadership of the Mepe Traditional Council have praised Volta Region Council of State Member, Hon. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple for his exceptional role and developmental projects he is initiating for the region adding that, he is an “outstanding Member of the Council of State whose commitment to the Volta Region has not been witnessed before.”

He made this known in a post on his official Facebook page.

His post reads, Today, I am blessed to receive a royal delegation from the Mepe Traditional Council, led by Mr. Kojo Elenu Fabian, Togbui Korsi Nego VI, Maklalo of the Mepe Traditional Area, and Togbui Korsi Agba III, Divisional Chief of the Mepe Adzigo Clan, at my office. They paid a courtesy call to express their appreciation for my presence at this year’s Afenorto Festival.

Their visit was truly humbling. They expressed their gratitude for my decision to accept their invitation despite the difficult circumstances at the time. I, in turn, thanked the chiefs and their entourage for the warmth of their visit and their kind words.

I was particularly moved when they described me as an “Outstanding Member of the Council of State whose commitment to the Volta Region has not been witnessed before.” While I am deeply grateful for such words, I see them as a reminder to continue working even harder for the good of our people.

Let us continue to build together for the Volta Region, and for Ghana

In addition, a Facebook username by name Thomas Dorgloh, described Hon. Tanko as a true “gentleman who’s making waves in Ghanaian politics”.

His post reads as: I have watched from afar this gentleman, H.E. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple is a remarkable individual who’s making waves in Ghanaian politics! He’s the newly elected Volta Regional Representative on the Council of State, a position he’s held since February 2025. At just 37 years old, he’s bringing a fresh perspective to governance, focusing on investment, infrastructure, job creation, and economic empowerment.

As a businessman, politician, and philanthropist, Gabriel’s background is impressive. His commitment to service and development is evident in his work and that drew my attention.

His election marks a generational shift in leadership, and many see him as a beacon of hope for Ghana’s youth. He’s proofed that young people can make a difference in governance, and his blend of business acumen, compassion, and innovation sets him apart. I would love to meet this gentleman!
