The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, officially exited the bachelor’s club over the weekend marrying his partner, Dr. Charis, in a colorful traditional ceremony.
The private event, held in Nkoranza, in the Bono East Region, brought together a high-profile guest list featuring the upper echelon of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Despite the intimate nature of the nuptials, the presence of political heavyweights signaled the significance of the union.
Leading the delegation of dignitaries was Minority Leader Osahen Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who was joined by the former Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh affectionately known as NAPO). Also in attendance to support their colleague were NPP National Organizer Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) and Oforikrom MP, Mike Aidoo.
The bride, Dr. Charis, a medical doctor, was the center of attraction as the couple performed the traditional rites surrounded by close family and friends.
While the ceremony remained restricted to invited guests, images and reports from Nkoranza suggest a celebration rich in culture and political camaraderie.
The union marks a significant personal milestone for the Old Tafo legislator as he balances his parliamentary duties with his new chapter of domestic life.
