Muslim Youth Cautioned Over Tramadol

Sheikh Mohammed Ridwan Mohammed, a Scholar of the World Islamic Call Society, has sternly warned Muslim youth in the country to abstain from the use of Tramadol.

He also cautioned them to stay away from the smoking of Indian Hemp, known in local parlance as ‘Wee’ and the drinking of alcoholic beverages, since it would affect their health.

According to him, the Muslim youth should not allow the Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations, which is few days away, to influence them in indulging in social vices such as smoking and drinking of alcohol.

Sheikh Mohammed, who is also the CEO of Kumasi based Alpha Radio gave the advice when his radio station donated food items to orphans and needy in society, yesterday.

Items such as bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, chicken, footwear, clothes, soft drinks and cash, were distributed to the beneficiaries to help them mark the Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations like any other Muslim.

Alpha Radio has over the past five years been donated to orphans and the needy in society during Eid-Ul-Firt celebrations.

According to Sheikh Mohammed, Alpha Radio’s management as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has decided to share its profit with its numerous listeners during the Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations.

Sheikh Mohammed announced that a whopping GH¢110,000 was used to purchase the food items this year, assuring that the station would replicate the laudable project in the years to come.
