Nana Addo To Meet Journalists Tomorrow

President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will meet the press tomorrow, December 19, 2018 to account for his stewardship in his near 2-years as President.

He is expected to respond to series of questions on the government’s performance on the various sectors of the economy. The Encounter with the media is expected to start at exactly 10:30am at the Jubilee House.

A statement from the Information ministry said: “In furtherance of His Excellency the President’s desire to continuously engage with the Ghanaian people through the media, the President will on Wednesday December 19, 2018 meet with a cross section of the media at 10:30am at the Banquet Hall, Jubilee House, Accra”.

This would be the president’s second engagement with the media in 2018.

The statement further noted: “The Ghana Journalists Association, the umbrella body of journalists in Ghana is working with the Ministry of Information and the Communications Directorate at the Jubilee House to coordinate media invitations.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo at the encounter is expected to touch on security, illegal mining, the economy, the National Health Insurance (NHIS), infrastructure, education, good governance among others.

According to Information Minister, Oppong Nkrumah, the President will use the event to solicit for ideas, suggestions and constructive criticisms that would smoothen the rough edges of his vision for Ghana.
