Nana Akua Addo, Husband In Bloody Fights And Accusations

Harold Duodu Norman, husband of celebrated model and actress Nana Akua Addo, has described himself as victim of “long years of abuse” in their 14 years of marriage.

He made the revelation in response to viral videos and images circulating on social media that allege he violently abused his wife and their children.

The said videos and images purportedly show Nana Akua Addo with a broken lip and a bloodstained shirt, with captions alleging that she and her children are victims of domestic violence and abuse at the hands of Harold Duodu Norman.

In a statement addressed to media houses, BA Law Consult (The Rock Chambers), acting for Harold Duodu Norman, denied the allegations and described the circulation of the media as a “well-calculated attempt to control the public narrative and garner public sympathy against the real facts.”

The firm stated that the incident in question dates back to 2021, some five years ago. According to the release, on that day Harold Duodu Norman returned home from an event when his Nana Akua Addo accused him of infidelity. The statement alleges that Nana Akua Addo attempted to stab Mr. Norman with a knife. No evidence was given in the statement to back this allegation.

The statement, issued on October 6, 2026,noted: “In the course of defending himself on the fateful day and in fear of his life, our client chanced upon a dressing mirror with wooden cladding and used same to block the knife that Nana Akua Addo had swung to stab him in the chest”, the statement read.

It continued: “In the process, the knife hit the mirror, broke it into pieces and a shred of the mirror hit her lip in the milieu resulting in her injury. It is therefore categorically false that our client assaulted her leading to the injury as she is speculating online.”

The legal team said Harold Duodu Normanimmediately took his wife to the hospital for treatment. They argue that the resurfacing of the incident five years later is a sponsored campaign designed to cover up what they describe as “long years of abuse” suffered by Harold Duodu Norman, their children, extended family, and house help at the hands of the fashion icon over the past 14 years.

The press release further alleges, again without evidence, a history of violence, stating that this would be the third time Nana Akua Addo has stabbed Harold Norman during their marriage.

It claimed most of these incidents were previously reported to police at Nmai Dzorn, Spintex, and East Legon, but the complaints were later withdrawn by Mr. Norman following pleas from family and friends to protect her public image and for the sake of their children.

The statement said the matter is currently the subject of both criminal and civil proceedings. The statement referenced a pending suit titled ROSEMOND AKUA ADOBEA VRS HAROLD DUODU NORMAN SUIT NO DM/0607/2026, before the Ghana Police Service Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU).

In a dramatic twist, the lawyers alleged that Nana Akua Addo has been on the run from investigators since July 2026 following a complaint of domestic violence inflicted on the children of the marriage.

They also claimed, that medical doctors have previously recommended she undergo serious psychiatric evaluation due to injuries she allegedly inflicts on members of the household, including her own children, when angry. None of the claims were backed with evidence.

Harold Norman’s counsel, Emmanuel Bright Atokoh Esq., emphasized that because the matters are pending in court, their client has elected to restrain himself from responding further in public to abide by the decision of the court. The lawyers urged the media to be circumspect in their reportage and commentary on the matter.

The statement adds to a public record in which Nana Akua Addo has previously addressed her husband during past relationship hurdles. In earlier interviews, including in 2021, she acknowledged that infidelity had been an issue in their long-term relationship. She said she felt hurt and “broken” by the experiences, but noted the couple sought counseling and chose to work through their challenges and stay together for the sake of their daughters.

More recently, circulating videos capturing a heated argument between the two show Nana Akua Addo confronting her husband over past infidelity claims and counter-accusations regarding family and paternity discussions.
