Nana NYC Sets Airwaves Ablaze with New Album

USA based award-winning Television Producer cum artiste, Nana Yaw Boateng, with stage name Nana NYC, has set the airwaves blazing with his recently released album.

The album, titled “Afroking of Hip Hop”, has songs carefully and deliberately produced to represent nearly all the 10 regions of Ghana in terms of culture, rhythm and paraphernalia.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with THE PUBLISHER, he explained that the Album Release is intended to imbue a sense of national pride, foster music tourism and expose indigenous musical fusion.

The number of Hip Hop artistes contributing their quota to sustain culture has soared astronomically within a short period, mainly from the West.

Ghana has practically become indifferent to her illustrious sons like Sarkodie, Manifest, EL, Edem, Flowking Stone and a host of others, who made efforts to challenge the status quo. As could be expected, Nana NYC faced similar mountains in his attempt to hit the top with his brand of music.

But in spite of the harsh challenges, he defied all the odds and turned his misfortunes around by perfecting his craft and embracing music as a career.

And since then, he has never relented on his tireless effort to continually make sure his songs are on the charts.

Nana NYC is a member of the American Society of Composers and Publishers, and has over the years mastered his craft by working with several top-notch musicians.

He has worked with the likes of Dwagne Wayans(My Wife And Kids), Lansky of G. M, Jesse West, as well as Frado who has produced for The LOX, MIMS, Dipset, just to name a few.
