NAPO Constructs Astro Pitch

WORKS HAVE started for the development of the grassless Abbey’s Park, in Manhyia South Constituency, into a modern Astro Turf facility.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South Constituency, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’, is the initiator of the project.

When completed, the now grassless pitch would be developed into a modern green park, which would also boast of other modern facilities.

The Manhyia South law-maker, who is also the Education Minister, mooted the idea for the famous pitch to be developed into a modern facility.

Luckily, NAPO disclosed, a certain organization had accepted to construct the pitch as part of its corporate social responsibility to the area.

The MP noted that sports promotion and development were among his core ambition “and I will work assiduously to ensure that”.

He warned some youth at Ash Town, who reportedly attacked the contractor, working on the project, to turn a new leaf else they would be dealt with.

The MP hinted that plans are far advanced for a similar project at Dichemso in the same constituency.
