Dr. MATTHEW Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’ has displayed immense love and support for his boss, Dr. Bawumia, by working hard to ensure the latter’s election as NPP flagbearer for the 2028 polls.
Napo over the last few months cross-crossed the country, campaigning seriously to ensure that Dr. Bawumia, whom he partnered for the 2024 elections, would be retained as the NPP flagbearer for 2028.

True to his words, Dr. Prempeh’s Manhyia South Constituency placed second as the constituency with the highest percentage of votes for Dr. Bawumia, in the Ashanti Region, which is the NPPs stronghold.
Through Napo’s influence and hard work, Dr. Bawumia secured a colossal 453 valid votes cast in the Manhyia South Constituency, representing 79.17% during Saturday’s NPP presidential candidates election.

Significantly, Manhyia South, with the 79.17% votes, finished second in terms of highest votes for Dr. Bawumia in the Ashanti region only behind Effiduase Asokore, who had 91.55% of votes for Dr. Bawumia.
Meanwhile, political pundits in Kumasi have lauded Napo for being faithful and trustworthy politician, following his efforts in ensuring that his boss, Dr. Bawumia, was retained as NPP president candidate.
According to them, the hard work and commitment of Napo during the recent campaign period is a strong indication that the Bawumia-Napo pair will be able to wrest political power for the NPP in the 2028 polls.
