THREE INSTITUTIONS in Kumasi, in the Ashanti region, have taken delivery of food items to enable them mark the Easter festivities in a grand style.
The largesse was made possible by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice Presidential Candidate for the 2024 polls, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’.
The beneficiary institutions included the Kumasi Children’s Home, the Kumasi Cheshire Home and the Edwenase Rehabilitation Center.
Napo presented food items such as bags of rice, maize, sugar, Gari and beans, as well as gallons of cooking oil, boxes of tin tomatoes and Geisha.
Significantly, Dr. Prempeh, who is well known for his benevolent gestures, has been donating food items to these three institutions for 20 years running now.

Napo, who is a staunch Christian, said the Holy Bible teaches Christians to always lend a helping hand to the needy in society “and that’s why I support the homes”.
The former NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South said he would continue to offer the needed support and assistance to the three homes.
Napo, who is a former Energy Minister, also appealed to passionately to well-endowed individuals and institutions to learn from him by supporting the needy.
According to him, the managers of these homes could not cater for the inmates alone, therefore the needy for the rich and influential people to also support them.
