Napo Preaches Giving

“THERE ARE more blessings in giving so I’m passionately appealing to the well-to-do in society to care for the needy to help better their lives”.

The above were the exact words of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’, the 2024 Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Napo, noted for his generous acts, was speaking when he donated to three institutions in Kumasi, in the Ashanti Regional capital, last week.

The beneficiary institutions include the Kumasi Children’s Home, Kumasi Rehabilitation Centre and the Cheshire Home, which is located at Edwenase.

Napo, a former MP Manhyia South, presented bags of rice, sugar, Gari, maize, gallons of cooking oil, boxes of tin tomatoes and boxes of Geisha to them.

He told THE NEW PUBLISHER that he has been providing support, in the form of food items, for the aforementioned institutions for 20 years consistently.

The former Lawmaker stated that it’s his own way of giving back to society so that the needy could also be properly fed and enjoy life just as any other children.

Napo, a staunch Christian, stated that “God’s blessing is not for you and your family alone. You should impact humanity when God blesses you”.

“This is the third donation I have been making to these institutions for this year. And this particular donation is for the Christmas season”, Napo disclosed

He said Christmas is a time where families eat and enjoy “and I want the beneficiaries to also feast and make merry during the Yuletide season, which is fast approaching”.

Napo noted further: “As the festive season approaches, may we renew our commitment to care for one another, especially the children, the elderly, and persons with special needs in our communities. Homes such as the Kumasi Cheshire Home, the Kumasi Children’s Home, and the Edwenase Rehabilitation Centre continue to embody this spirit of service, and they deserve our collective support. Let us all be stewards of one another, and instruments of care and support for the vulnerable among us.”
