MINISTER OF Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, aka ‘Napo’, has hailed the Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu, for his pivotal roles towards peace in the country.
According to him, if the country is peaceful and united now then people like the Chief Imam needed to be praised for it.
Napo said Sheikh Nuhu Sharubtu should be commended to serve as motivation to other top people in the country.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South made the observation when he paid a courtesy call on the Chief Imam at his residence at Fadama in Accra, recently.
Sounding very humble, the minister said his late father was like a brother to the Chief Imam so the visit was very dear to him, and also commended the Sheikh for supporting the government with his wise counsel and constant prayers.
For his part, Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu lauded Napo for ensuring the smooth introduction of the free Senior High school (SHS) policy, which he said would help expedite Ghana’s growth as more people would be educated.
He also prayed for Allah’s protection and blessing on the Minister to enable him sustain his service to the nation.
