Talented Joojo Addison is out with a new banging single which he calls it ‘Remedy’ and the official video for it is out. Remedy was produced by Kros and features up and coming to musician Xrusade.
Remedy talks about life in the hood, people working continuously to make a living while others look on with hate. The remedy for them he says is “work and chop”.
In an interview recently, Joojo said Ghana must make bigger inroads on the world stage with Afrobeats.
“The secret of the success of the Nigerian music market is because of their ability to sample rhythms across Africa and mostly from Ghanaian Highlife. For example, Fela Kuti took a lot of inspiration from Ghanaian Highlife and that led him to invite some Ghanaian musicians to play with his band.
“He originated the Afrobeats rhythm by combining Highlife with different styles across Africa, including Jazz and Pop but unfortunately, Ghana is not taking advantage of this gold mine.
“Currently, Afrobeats is the way to go and as a new act, my mission is to push that agenda by promoting it my way so that Ghana can equally benefit from the new wave in global music,” he stated.
Named Essien-Addison Kyei, Joojo describes himself as a singer, rapper, poet and songwriter. He is a product of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and announced his entry into music when he released his debut Guy Man in 2018.
