NIB Donates to GRAFT Foundation

The National Investment Bank (NIB) has presented an amount of fifteen thousand cedis (GH¢15,000.00) to the GRAFT Foundation.

This is to support the free reconstructive surgeries that it offers to children born with birth deformities such as cleft lip and palate, post-burn contractures, extra fingers and toes, tumours and swellings among others.

These defects affect the ability of these children to start schooling early and lows the self-esteem of these underprivileged children.

The Bank for the past years donates all proceeds from its Annual Thanksgiving Service to the GRAFT Foundation to sustain its operations.

Presenting the cheque to the Foundation, Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Charles Wordey said NIB will continue to support the Foundation to help it put smiles on the faces of a lot more children. He expressed delight at “the successes chalked with contributions from NIB staff as it has over the period of 4 years helped treat Two Hundred and Fifty-Four (254) cases.”

Mr. Wordey added that “the donation forms part of NIB’s range of Social Interventions.

He reaffirmed the Bank’s resolve to maintain the relationship with the GRAFT FOUNDATION in order to help enhance its operations. Dr. Brainerd Anani, Project Director said “donations from NIB over the years have been substantial and timely as these funds has enabled the Foundation to offer free surgeries to about two hundred and fifty-four (254) individuals”. He expressed gratitude to NIB for the immense contributions and the sustained support.
