A Night of Icons: TRIUMPH Women Awards 2025 Celebrates and Crowns Ghana’s Daring Women

The La-Palm Royal Beach Hotel was once again the epicenter of female excellence as the SHE TRIUMPH 2025 Conference seamlessly transitioned into the glittering second edition of the Triumph Women Awards on the evening of September 28th. The event was a powerful culmination of a day dedicated to the theme, “POWER OF YOU; THE DARING WOMAN”, transforming into a night of recognition, honour, and celebration for Ghana’s most impactful women.

The awards ceremony was set in motion by the visionary host and founder of DebbyQueen Production, Mrs. Lady Deborah Borketey, whose keynote address resonated with the day’s theme, challenging every woman to embrace their inherent power. Her opening was followed by an inspiring address from the Board Chair, Mrs. Doris Kwekwor Adjei, who underscored the importance of honouring the quiet heroes and public icons who shape the nation.

The night was electrified by captivating performances that punctuated the proceedings, building an atmosphere of anticipation and celebration as awards were presented across dozens of categories.

A Galaxy of Honourees

From governance to grassroots community work, the awards painted a vivid picture of female achievement in Ghana. The prestigious Outstanding Woman in Governance award was presented to Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, while Hon. Obuobia Darko-Opoku was rightly honoured as the Women’s Empowerment Champion, a title her actions during the conference, where she generously doubled the seed fund for the Triumph Creative Hub winner powerfully affirmed.

The room erupted in applause for legends and rising stars alike. Gospel luminary Cindy Thompson was celebrated as a Gospel Legend, and media titan Oheneyere Gifty Anti was recognised as a Media Legend, while Mrs. Mary Amoah Kuffour was honoured as a Champion for Children with Special Needs.

The awards also shone a light on the dynamic forces driving Ghana’s future. Rashida Saani was crowned the highly coveted Woman of the Year, and Gloria Gyan-Baffour was celebrated as an exemplary CEO. In the entrepreneurial space, Millicent Stacy Donkor was awarded for her endeavours, and the Chartma Herbal Health Center was named Brand of the Year.

Other notable winners included Whitney Boakye-Mensah (Fertility Champion), Rev. Dr. Fransica Duncan Williams (Christian Leader), and Barbara Baaba Incoom (Leader of the Year). The Heroes and Nominees categories further highlighted a breadth of talent, with awards going to Irene Tsotsoo Wallace (Creative Designer), Jayana Yeboah (Music Icon), and Dr. Abena Sarpong (Health Icon), among many others.
