Ghanaian London-based journalist Rahman Osman has criticized the Black Stars for their inconsistency and lack of commitment in recent times.
Ghana had a disappointing 2024, missing out on qualification for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco. Speaking on TV3’s Sports Station, Rahman expressed frustration with the current squad, urging them to show more dedication.
“I’ve watched our national team compete on the world stage, and I want to see that level of seriousness again. We have a talented generation, but they consistently disappoint whenever they play for Ghana.
No one in this squad should think they are a superstar because there are none. I doubt any of them would start in Agyemang Badu’s Black Stars. I want to see professionalism, players who come to camp and fight for their spots,” he stated.
The Black Stars have begun preparations for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, with nine players participating in their first training session on Monday.
Ghana will face Chad on March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium before traveling to Morocco for a clash against Madagascar on March 24.
