Nothing Wrong With Me Playing Elderly Roles – Lilwin Speaks

 

Over the years, high stand of criticisms has been all over from veteran actors and actresses over the usage of the young ones to play elderly roles in movies but kumasi based actor Lil Win speaking on Atinka TV’s Entertainment City Show debunked such claims.

Known in real life as Kwadwo Nkansah, he has played almost all major roles in the movie industry from acting as an elderly man to the others.

“There is nothing wrong in acting in elderly roles. Even Jackie Chan is cast as an old man” he said.

He further stated that, “once you play the role well, there is nothing wrong with that. The challenge is when you’re unable to interpret the role the best way you should.”

He told the host that because of high level of seriousness he has for his profession, he doesn’t allow any make ups to be used to treat him. He buys his make ups on a quality range which he gives to makeup artists during set.

“I buy my makeups from US. It shows how serious I am. I won’t allow you make me up with low products or chalk. I don’t joke with my job” the comic actor said.

He entreat the general public to desist from such criticisms and that there’s no big deal in younger actors to play elderly roles. Regardless of everything, he claim the younger ones are as well capable of doing what the old age does.
