The acting national Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Freddie Blay has been elected to the position of National Chairman of the party in Koforidua where the party held its National Delegates Conference.
Ellembele Blay beats Ntim to emerge the winner. In an election duly declared by Ebenezer Aggrey Fynn, EC Official, Freddie Blay polled 3,021 votes ahead of his closest contender Stephen Ntim.
Stephen for the fourth time failed to emerge as winner at the end of the contest polled 3,021 votes as against Dr. Richard Amoako Baah who had 18 votes.
The 6,000 delegates were confronted with the challenge of maintaining the men and women who won the 2016 elections or gave the party the chance to win new breed of leadership to manage affairs of the party ahead of 2020 general election.
