Oti, Savannah, Western North to get 160-bed regional hospitals

President John Dramani Mahama is expected to cut sod in the coming weeks for the construction of three 160-bed Regional Referral Hospitals in the Oti, Savannah and Western North Regions.

Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, disclosed this in a Facebook post on Tuesday, September 22, as part of the government’s efforts to expand healthcare infrastructure and improve access to specialised medical services.

The three hospitals will serve as regional referral facilities, providing additional capacity for patients requiring specialised care within the respective regions.

Mr Kwakye Ofosu also shared the proposed design for the Regional Referral Hospital in the Oti Region, giving an indication of the infrastructure planned under the project.

The construction of the hospitals forms part of the Mahama administration’s broader plans to expand healthcare infrastructure across the country.
