THE ASANTEHENE, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has praised the two feuding factions in the Bawku chieftaincy crisis for their support towards ensuring an end to the crisis very soon.
According to the Asante Monarch, who is mediating the seeming difficult case, the two factions have displayed commitment and determination to finally bring lasting peace to Bawku.
In this regard, the Asantehene announced that the conclusion of the peace talks would take place at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on November 30 and December 1, 2025.
“Manhyia Palace is pleased to announce that His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, has scheduled two days, November 30 and December 1, 2025 for what is expected to be the concluding session of his mediation in the Bawku chieftaincy conflict”.
The above inspiring information was contained in a press release, which was authored and signed by Kofi Badu, the Chief of Staff of the Manhyia Palace, the seat of the Asante Kingdom.
The press statement, which was released on Monday, November 10, 2025, particularly expressed Otumfuo’s appreciation to the level of commitment, shown by the feuding parties, which has expedited the peace process.
The Asante Monarch was, however, quick to sternly cautioned all stakeholders in the case, not to indulge in any illegal activities that have the tendency of destroying the gains chalked so far.
“His Majesty praises both sides for their positive approach to the mediation so far and appeals to all concerned to avoid any actions likely to affect the progress towards a lasting solution to the Bawku conflict”, the statement noted.
