OTUMFUO STORMS MOSQUE FOR PRAYERS

THE ASANTEHENE, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Friday, visited the Central Mosque in Kumasi. He was at the sacred place to seek Allah’s protection, blessings and guidance.

The visit formed part of activities marking the Asantehene’s 20 years on the throne. The Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu, led Muslim prayers for the Asantehene.

The worshippers also prayed for the Asante royal family and Ghanaians in general. Otumfuo, in his address, lauded Muslims for their support during his 20-year reign.

“Allah has made my reign successful and unique and I am grateful to him”, he said. Otumfuo appealed to Muslims in Ghana to always pray fervently for him to succeed.

“I am one of you so I will entreat you to always remember me in your prayers”. The Asantehene also urged Muslims to educate their children to boost their future.
