Parliament resumes sitting today

Parliament is scheduled to resume sittings today [Tuesday] after its recess in accordance with order 42 clause 3 of the Standing Orders of the House.

Parliament in today’s meeting is expected to consider and pass the Vigilantism and Related Offences Bill among others.

The Minority has also indicated that it will haul the Inspector General of Police, David Asante Appeatu before the House over the three kidnapped Takoradi girls, as well as the Director of the National Communications Authority (NCA), Joe Anokye over the recent shutdown of some radio stations.

The House was recalled from recess some weeks ago to consider the Companies Bill and the Amendment to the AGM petroleum deal.
