Chelsea winger Pedro Neto scored his first ever hat-trick in his professional football career in the Emirates FA Cup and was really pleased that his goals led to a positive outcome for his side.
Neto registered his debut hat-trick in Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Hull City away from home in the fourth round of the competition.
The Portuguese international grabbed his first with a brilliant strike before scoring an Olimpico after having his corner kick attempt sail straight into the net.
His third came in the 71st minute after combining with Liam Delap to finish with his weaker right foot from inside the penalty box. Liam Delap registered a hat-trick of assists in the game.
Speaking after the win that qualifies Chelsea to the next round according to the club media, Neto said,
“Really pleased [with the win]. The mentality of the team was amazing. To win 4-0 away in this competition is really tough. Most of all I am happy to go through to the next round. We have to keep winning but first of all we have to keep improving.”
