Pentecost University Wins Big at PUSAG Games

Pentecost University College (PUC) has emerged the overall best institution at the just ended annual Private University Students Association of Ghana (PUSAG) games.

PUC won 13 trophies in the various sporting activities including basketball, volleyball, table tennis and other track and field events.

The 2018 PUSAG Games and Festival held at the Paa Joe Stadium of  the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST),  saw various private universities across the country battle it out in various sporting activities including basketball, volleyball, table tennis and other track and field events.

In all, Pentecost University Sports Team won gold medals in the women’s Football, women’s basketball, women’s volley ball, women’s handball, silver medals in men’s handball and bronze medals in the men’s table tennis.

The PUC women’s team also dominated in the track event; grabbing gold in the 200, 400, and 800 meters race.

They later presented the cups to the Rector of the University.

Receiving the trophy on behalf of the institution, Apostle Daniel Okyere, Rector of PUC, congratulated the team for their outstanding performance at the PUSAG games.

He also applauded the team for the good behavior they displayed and for maintaining the good name of the institution during the games.

PUSAG games is an annual sporting event that brings together teams from various Private Universities in Ghana to compete in various sporting activities.

It was organized by the Private Universities Students Association of Ghana (PUSAG), the umbrella body for students in private tertiary institutions in Ghana, and had Access Bank as its title sponsor, and Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), as well as Startimes.
