POLICE EXPOSE WASIU KILLERS
THIRTEEN SUSPECTED killers of Abdul Wasiu, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Taskforce who was murdered on Monday in cold blood, have been placed on the police wanted list.
The pictures and names of the suspects, who are still on the run, have been released to the media by the Ashanti Regional Police Command for publication.
ASP Godwin Ahianyo, of the Ashanti Regonal Police Public Relations Unit (PRO), believed the publication of the names and pictures of the suspects could lead to their arrest.
He gave the names of the suspects as Hussein Bari alias ‘Warrior’, Midjima, Damos and Abu Taliban, explaining that “these are the prime suspects”.
He added that police investigations had led to other names possibly associated to the infamous shooting incident.
The rest of the suspects are Sanni Mohammed aka ‘Commando’, Wayo, Element, Jah Rule, Petit, Akon, Fayiz, Mallam and Rock.
The Police PRO appealed to the public to help the police so that the suspects could be smoked out to face the law.
Wasiu was standing in front of the NDC office at Amakom on Monday when some goons stormed the place on motorbikes and shot at him and others at close range.
So far, all the 13 suspects that the police have placed on their wanted list are said to be members of the dreaded Hawks Vigilante group.
