THE ASHANTI Regional Police Command has intensified efforts for the arrest of the killers of two ladies, whose bodies were discovered at Abrepo, near Kumasi.
Residents of Abrepo, in the Bantama Constituency, were shocked-to-the-marrow after two dead bodies were found in the community on Thursday.
The bodies of the deceased persons, who are believed to be in their early 30s, were found lying near Asuo Akos, a river at Abrepo.
They were half naked and used condoms were also found at the scene, heightening suspicion that they were possibly raped.
Traditional leaders in the area had to perform certain rituals before the police were allowed to take the bodies to the morgue for autopsy.
THE PUBLISHER is reliably informed that the police are doing everything possible to bring the killers to book.
According to our sources, experts from the Police Headquarters in Accra have been dispatched to Kumasi to assist in investigations.
Grapevine information indicates that even though the police have already made some arrests regarding the murders, they are tight-lipped over the arrests, in order not to jeopardize their investigations.
